SSDC seeks nominations

The Society of Silver Dollar Collectors has issued a call for nominations from its membership for two director positions as well as for the offices of president, vice president, secretary/treasurer and membership director.

The Society of Silver Dollar Collectors has issued a call for nominations from its membership for two director positions as well as for the offices of president, vice president, secretary/treasurer and membership director.

These are all three-year positions with terms beginning in January 2011.

The society is also seeking nominations for the 2010 A. George Mallis Literary Awards, which will be presented Jan. 7 at the Florida United Numismatists show.

Two Mallis awards may be given each year. One is for Outstanding Article published during 2010 in the VAM-E newsletter or other numismatic venue, and the other is for Outstanding Book published between 2008 and 2010.
