The Society of Paper Money Collectors will hold its third annual author?s forum, Friday June 16.
The event will take place between noon and 2 p.m. at the Memphis International Paper Money Show.
?The event is not only a good place to learn about recent paper money books, but also a forum where neophyte authors can learn tricks of the trade from some of the savvy book authors in our hobby,? SPMC President Benny Bolin said.
Guest speakers for the event will include: Carlson Chambliss, speaking on the Comprehensive Catalog of U.S. Paper Money; Gene Hessler on publishing his International Engraver's Line in Eastern Europe; and Wendell Wolka on updating his Ohio Obsolete Notes book on CD.
After a short intermission Q. David Bowers will speak on his 100 Greatest Currency Notes (co-authored with David Sundman).
As in the past, the forum will be hosted by SPMC Librarian Bob Schreiner and Paper Money Editor Fred Reed. It is open to both SPMC members and the general public.
