Show at Carson City Mint cancelled

The Carson City Mint Coin Show scheduled for Aug. 16-17 at the Nevada State Museum has been cancelled.

However, the Nevada State Museum Coin Education Fair will still take place the same days from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. at 600 N. Carson St., a museum spokesperson said.

The education fair will feature lectures, workshops, raffle prizes, gold panning, children?s activities and exhibits. There will be no coin sales or appraisals.

Admission for the event is $5 for adults and $3 for seniors. Those under 18 are admitted for free.
