Sales figures tallied just in the nick of time
Beating the Thanksgiving Day holiday deadline.
Tick, tick, tick ...
It’s approaching the zero-hour here at Numismatic News and the sales figures from the U.S. Mint have not arrived.
Beads of sweat are running down my face. My fingernails have been whittled down to the nub. And the clock just keeps ticking.
See, as I write this, Thanksgiving is only two days away. And because of the holiday, the powers that be moved our deadline up a day, so we’re feverishly working to finish doing everything we do with one less day to do it.
We’re supposed to put this baby to bed in just a little more than a half hour from now. That’s when my head will explode. It should be quite a sight.
Speaking of exploding, check out those platinum bullion sales. What a rally.
Take note, too, the 2005 proof American Eagle half-ounce pieces are almost gone. Should be just a matter of time now.
