RCNA official speaks at symposium

Paul R. Johnson, executive secretary of the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association, was a speaker at the Ninth Annual Educational Symposium of the California State Numismatic Association, hosted by the Vallejo Numismatic Society, Oct. 25-26.

Johnson’s presentation was titled “Coinage of the Royal Canadian Mint, 1908-2008,” in light of the mint’s centennial this year.

“The Royal Canadian Mint has had a proud century and continues to be an innovator in the minting process, and it is a strong supporter of numismatics in Canada and with the Royal Canadian Numismatic Association,” he said.

Johnson joined four other presenters at the event, themed “Northern Numismatics.”
