The California State Numismatic Association sponsored a youth table at the Alameda, Calif., Coin Club’s 13th Anniversary Coin Show on June 28. The one-day show also featured an enlarged bourse.
The youth table was facilitated by Michael S. Turrini, CSNA president and youth numismatist coordinator, and Gordon R. Donnell.
Highlighting the table was an “SQS,” or State Quarter Search, that required YNs to locate and identify states on outline maps and answer questions about the states. Participants earned state quarters and a free state quarter album upon completion of the activity.
Quarters and albums were courtesy of CSNA. The group has been sponsoring the activity for the past several years.
“We enjoy the ‘SQS’ and youth table, which also doubles as an information table at our annual shows,” said Donald R. Barsi, show coordinator.
