A set of four proof 2009 Lincoln cents will be placed on sale Aug. 26 by the U.S. Mint.

Called the 2009 Lincoln Bicentennial One-Cent Proof Set, it is priced at $7.95 and contains an example of each of the four commemorative designs to be issued this year.

Making the coins in the set even more attractive to collectors, they are made of the 95-percent copper, five percent tin and zinc alloy that was used for the first Lincoln cent in 1909, and not the copper-coated zinc alloy used for regularly circulating 2009 cents.

There is a household order limit of five sets.

The four designs are Birthplace, Formative Years, Professional Life and Presidency.

To order, telephone (800) USA-MINT, or visit www.usmint.gov.
