New and higher prices have been set for proof and uncirculated platinum Eagles when they go on sale June 6, according to the U.S. Mint.
The one-ounce proof will be $1,599.95, the half-ounce proof $809.95, quarter ounce proof, $439.95 and the tenth-ounce proof, $229.95. A four-coin platinum proof Eagle set will be $2,949.95 each.
For the uncirculated platinum American Eagles that will be sold directly to collectors by the U.S. Mint, the one-ounce coin will bee $1,489.95. The half-ounce will be $759.95, the quarter ounce, $399.95, the tenth ounce, $189.95 and the four-coin uncirculated ?W? set will be $2,769.95.
Other upcoming items to go on sale will be the 2006 state quarter coin and die sets on June 5. Prices were not available at press time.
On June 13, the silver uncirculated ?W? American Eagles will go on sale. Prices are not yet available.
On June 19, Martha Washington and Abigail Adams First Spouse gold coins will go on sale. Price will be $429.95 each. The uncirculated versions will commence sales also. Price for these will be $410.95 each. The coins will be sold only individually.
The four-coin Presidential Coin proof set will go on sale June 21. It will cost $14.95.
On July 19, the regular 14-coin base metal proof set will be offered for $26.95. Included in the set are four Presidential dollars, a Sacagawea dollar, five state quarters, cent, nickel, dime and half dollar.
The silver proof set will go on sale Aug. 23. Its price will be $44.95. It features the dime, quarters and half dollar in .900 fine silver.
