The Palm Beach, Fla., Coin Club was awarded Florida United Numismatists’ Florida Coin Club of the Year Award at its Summer FUN convention held July 9-11 in West Palm Beach, Fla.
The club received a plaque, a life membership in FUN and a check for $200.
The award was open to all 25 Florida FUN member coin clubs. Candidates were judged by an 11-point program on the clubs’ Web sites, newsletters, coin shows, YN and educational programs, public outreach, membership, participation in state and national programs, club libraries, club brochures or business cards, and donations to schools and libraries.
PBCC meets on the second and fourth Wednesdays of every month. Its coin show is held on the fourth Sunday of every month.
