After nearly five years as a member of the American Numismatic Association board of governors, Walter Ostromecki has announced his candidacy for ANA vice president for the 2011-2013 term.

“My commitment is to increase and further the educational outreach mission as noted in ANA bylaws at Summer Seminar, online through more website basic and detailed study collector programs and during our thrice yearly conventions,” said Ostromecki.

He has also proposed to revamp the association’s YN outreach programs by obtaining input from its approximately 550 junior members.
