Club president Dennis Berube gave the club’s appreciation to its 19 veterans who have served in one of the military branches of service. He then distributed to each one a letter from the club and an elongated cent with a design that expressed “Thank You for Your Service” and represented the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.

Just 10 of the 19 veterans were present at the meeting, but Berube read all names and copies of the letter and elongated cents were mailed to those not in attendance.

The recognition was just a very small way to show the club’s appreciation, Berube said.
