The second Numismatic Congress of Central America is slated for Sept. 25-27 in San Jose, Costa Rica.
The latest research on Central and South American numismatics will be shared in multiple presentations during the three-day-event.
It is hoped the Congress will bring together all collectors of Central American numismatics for the purpose of sharing and expanding the knowledge of the field.
The event will span three days. A numismatic exhibition, will be held in conjunction with the Museo del Oro and the Central Bank of Costa Rica, and a commercial bourse.
The program is as follows:
On Sept. 25 an opening reception will be held 8 a.m. to 9. a.m. followed by a 9 a.m. inaugural conference speaker. Other presentations will occur 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at 7 p.m. there will be the inauguration of the numismatic exhibition at the museum.
All of Sept. 26 is given over to individual presentations.
On Sept. 27, individual presentations will be given 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. At 2 p.m. is the official closing.
At 3 p.m. the numismatic bourse will begin.
