No MS-70 for me

While I was in Germany I had an email from someone who wrote that there appeared to be a mistake in the Coin Market table of gold, silver and platinum Eagle prices. It appears monthly in the first issue of each month in Numismatic News.
I wrote back that I would take a look at it when I returned to the United States.
Sure enough, there is a duplicate listing for the 2011-W uncirculated silver American Eagle that the Mint sells directly to collectors.
The duplicate listing appeared in the Feb. 7 issue. It will be eliminated for the next monthly appearance in the March 6 issue..
I have always said that readers are the best proof readers. Any errors are quickly spotted and reported to me.
That’s the way it should be.
If only I could be perfect and simply not make mistakes. Well, that isn’t going to happen. I will never earn an MS-70 grade.
If only I could catch all of my mistakes and those of other writers before they make it into print. Well, that is impossible as well.
The best we can hope for is an ongoing dialogue. I hope mistakes are kept to a minimum, but when they happen, let me know.
And if you don't spot any mistakes this week, let me know what you are thinking anyway.
