Next in bridge series issued
A silver round commemorating a covered bridge in Pengra, Ore., will be issued by the Lane County, Ore., Public Works Department July 25.
It is the eighth of 17 covered bridge commemorative pieces in a series celebrating Lane County’s heritage of covered bridges.
A total of 425 Pengra covered bridge commemoratives have been minted. The first 25 are numbered.
Two-hundred unnumbered Pengra rounds will be available from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. during the Blackberry Jam Festival at Rolling Rock Park in Lowell, Ore. The unnumbered rounds cost $35 each with a limit of five per person.
Numbered versions will be sold in an auction at 3 p.m. on the main stage at Rolling Rock Park. For more information on the festival, visit www.blackberryjamfestival.com.
The remaining unnumbered pieces will be available for purchase starting at 8 a.m. on July 27 online at http://ecomm.lanecounty.org or in person at the Lake County Public Works office, 3040 N. Delta Hwy., Eugene, Ore. Cost is $35 per piece, and again there will be a five-piece limit.
Orders that require shipping will be charged $4 per round.
