Teletrade has created a program called Premier Plus, an ongoing series of auctions conducted over the Internet and by telephone every two months.
Only certified coins with a retail value of $1,000 or more are offered in the sales, including a 1931 double eagle, graded Professional Coin Grading Service MS-65, that sold for $88,480 in a mid-February Premier Plus sale, a Teletrade record for a gold coin.
In the April sale, a 1927-S Saint-Gaudens double eagle, graded PCGC MS-63, will be up for bidding.
Coins in Premier Plus sales will be available for lot viewing at major conventions, like the American Numismatic Association?s National Money Show in Atlanta, April 7-9.
Auctions are held every Sunday, Monday and Wednesday. For more information, visit www.teletrade.com or call (800) 949-2646.
