The note issuing banking in Hong Kong have begun a redesign of the circulating currency. So far the 500 and 1000 Dollar denominations are available. This year the 20, 50 and 100 Dollar notes will be released.
Participating banks include the Bank of China, Hong Kong; the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation; and the Standard Bank.
The primary colors of each of the notes remains the same, the security features have been ratcheted up a notch or two.
