A total of 50,000 limited-edition Nebraska coin covers, priced at $19.95 each, will be available online at www.usmint.gov.

Going on sale at noon EST on April 24 are the Nebraska Official First Day Coin Covers.

A total of 50,000 limited-edition Nebraska coin covers, priced at $19.95 each, will be available online at www.usmint.gov.

They feature two Nebraska commemorative quarters from March 6, 2006, the first day of mintage ? one each bearing a mintmark from the U.S. Mint facilities at Philadelphia and Denver.

Each coin cover includes the two quarters on a handsome display card with a 39-cent U.S. Lady Liberty and Flag postage stamp. The postmark of April 3, 2006, Bayard, Nebraska, marks the day the Nebraska quarter-dollars were first released to the Federal Reserve and to the public.

Nebraska?s quarter depicts an ox-drawn covered wagon carrying pioneers in the foreground and Chimney Rock rising from the valley of North Platte River.
