Holiday sales numbers are washing over these pages. Traditional Christmas purchases are pushing up numbers for proof sets and mint sets.
The clad 2016 proof set jumped by 27,844 to 534,258. The 2016 silver proof set was up by 12,014 to 333,356. The uncirculated coin set was up by 10,197 to 248,455.
Among the hot products, the gold Walking Liberty half dollar jumped by 8,032 to 57,008 after household order limits were removed. Maximum possible mintage is 70,000. For the gold Standing Liberty quarter, sales were up by 1,032 to 84,048. Maximum mintage is 100,000.
The uncirculated 2016-W silver American Eagle went on the board at 134,925 with just a few days of sales. The 2015-W coin sold 201,188 during the entire time it was available.
Just Buffalo and half-ounce Eagle remain on sale among gold bullion coins. The silver Eagle is sold out for the year. Only two 5-ouncers remain available.
