Mint raises UHR order limit again

Little more than a month after it raised the ceiling on household purchases of the 2009 Ultra High Relief Saint-Gaudens $20 gold piece from one to 10, the Mint on Aug. 31 again raised the order ceiling to 25.

Since the coin went on sale in January, some 87,069 have been sold.

The one-per-household order limit was in effect for the first six months of the program to assure the maximum possible access by collectors and to allow the Mint to ramp up production rates.

For the current price and ordering information, visit the Mint’s Web site at www.usmint.gov, or telephone toll-free (800) USA-MINT.
