U.S. Mint Director Edmund C. Moy will host a collector forum Friday at the American Numismatic Association?s National Money Show in Charlotte, N.C.
From 1-2 p.m., the collector forum will be held in room 201A of the Charlotte Convention Center.
Additionally, Moy will be available to the public from 11 a.m. to noon March 16 at the Mint?s location on the show bourse, Booth 145.
According to a Mint spokesperson, the Mint is focusing its attention on George Washington and the new dollar coin. Washington $1 coin bags and rolls will be available from both the Philadelphia and Denver facilities.
The 2007 U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters Proof Set and 2007 U.S. Mint 50 State Quarters Silver Proof Set ? which feature Washington?s profile on the obverses of each quarter, of course ? will also be available.
The George Washington Portfolio, which includes reproductions of historic documents that highlight important milestones in George Washington?s life, will be offered for collectors who want even more Washington.
The Mint will also have 2007 American Eagle gold proof coins and Jamestown 400th anniversary commemorative coins on hand at its booth.
