Mint deletes 2,200 silver Eagle orders

The Mint says that Internet orders for 2,200 proof silver American Eagles placed from the Nov. 19 sales openings until 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21 were accidentally deleted.

Another 500 orders for other products also disappeared.

The Mint is trying to contact these customers to urge them to resubmit their order by telephone.

For their trouble, they will be be given priority delivery status and next day shipping.
