There is at least one silver lining in the cloud hanging over the price of the precious metal. That is the news that the U.S. Mint has just reduced the price of its upcoming American Eagle West Point Two-Coin Silver Set to $139.95. That's $10 cheaper.
The set will go on sale May 9. It will include a reverse proof 2013-W silver American Eagle and an enhanced uncirculated 2013-W silver American Eagle.
The number of sets minted will depend on the number of orders received during a four-week ordering period.
