Cybercoins.net is donating all profits from the sale of Carnegie Hero Fund Medals during the months of September and October to charity to help aid victims of Hurricane Katrina.

The Salvation Army will receive 100 percent of the proceeds.

Originally, the medal was made available exclusively to a select group of Carnegie Hero Fund Commission dignitaries. However, the CHF Commission decided to make a total of 450 of these proof specimens available to the public.

Priced at $85, each bronze medal has a brilliant proof silver finish and is individually numbered on the rim.

The composition of the medal is silver plating over bronze and the sculptor-designer is Luigi Badia. Greco Industries of Danbury, Conn., is the mint that produced the medals, which feature Andrew Carnegie’s profile.
