Limited-edition portrait medals, designed by award-winning sculptor Eugene Daub, have been issued to commemorate the induction of “Mr. Television,” Milton Berle, into the Jewish-American Hall of Fame. This is the organization’s 39th issue of art medals.
The reverse depicts a family enjoying Berle’s popular comedy-variety show “Texaco Star Theater.” The obverse features Berle and the words to his theme song: “There’s just one place for me ... near you!”
The medal is more than 2 inches in diameter and weighs about 3 ounces. It is available in bronze for a contribution of $35, in pure silver for $100 and in gold-plated pure silver for $150. The bronze version is limited to 500, the silver to 250 and the gold-plated to 35. They were struck by The Highland Mint.
