Lots planned for Baltimore Dec. 9-11

From book signings to educational seminars to rare coin auctions to Young Numismatist programs to on-site grading from major authentication services, the Baltimore Coin and Currency Convention has something for everyone.

Held Dec. 9-11 this year in Halls A and B of the Baltimore Convention Center, the show is expected to attract more than 1,000 dealers.

Admission is free and the show is open to the public on Friday and Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The auction firm of Bowers and Merena will be holding a rare coin and currency auction in conjunction with the event.

In addition, Presidential Coin and Antique will hold an exonumia and Presidential memorabilia auction on Saturday, Dec. 10.

Meetings of the Civil War Token Society, the Maryland Token and Medal Society, the Early American Copper Club, the Society for U.S. Commemorative Coins, and the Society of Paper Money Collectors are scheduled during the three-day event.

On Sunday, there will be a free Identification and Appraisal Clinic from noon to 2 p.m.
