Little Rock desegregation commems on the way

A commemorative silver dollar marking the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of Central High School in Little Rock, Ark., will go on sale May 15.

A commemorative silver dollar marking the 50th anniversary of the desegregation of Central High School in Little Rock, Ark., will go on sale May 15.

A maximum of 500,000 coins will be struck. They will come in both proof and uncirculated qualities.

Prices were not available at press time, but are expected to be similar to the Jamestown silver dollars that went on sale in January. Then the pre-issue discount price for the proof was $35 and the uncirculated was $33.
