First commemoratives of 2017 will honor the 100th anniversary of Lions Club International.

The silver dollar will go on sale at noon Eastern Time Jan. 18 on the United States Mint website.

Up to 400,000 of them can be struck, but fewer might be depending on collector demand. They will come as proofs and uncirculated.

Pre-Issue Discount prices for the first four weeks of availability will be $47.95 for the proof and $46.95 for the uncirculated.

Some weeks later, the Boys Town commemorative program will begin. It will include a $5 gold piece, a silver dollar and a clad half dollar.
