On Jan. 18 the U.S. Mint said it sold. 19,244 proofs and 5,926 uncirculated 2017 Lions silver dollars.
Maximum mintage is set at 400,000, though many recent commemorative programs got nowhere near their maximum figures.
Both coins have a “P” mintmark for the Philadelphia Mint. Price is $47.95 for the proof and $46.95 for the uncirculated plus a $4.95 per order handling charge.
The Mint must expect interest from abroad because it notes foreign buyers will be charged $17.90 plus a $2.95 handling fee per item for the United States Mint’s International Shipping option.
