In response to its customers, Lighthouse Publications, Inc., a manufacturer of coin and stamp collecting supplies, has created album pages designed to house quarters the mint will release in 2009 to honor the District of Columbia and U.S. territories, the firm announced in a Feb. 25 news release.
?Immediately after the legislation was signed, we received many inquiries from collectors asking for this additional page,? said Eric Werner, Lighthouse president and CEO.
?I am proud that Lighthouse was able to respond as quickly as it did, and delighted to be the first manufacturer to announce these pages to our market,? he said.
The album page is designed to fit Lighthouse?s statehood quarter album. It has two slots per coin ? one each for the Philadelphia and Denver mint. It is embossed with the names and issue year (2009) for the quarters honoring the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, the United States Virgin Islands and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands.
Each page costs $4.50. Beginning in mid-May they can be purchased through supply dealers or directly from Lighthouse. For more information, visit www.lighthouse.us or call (888) 269-1513.
