A 2017 medal has been created and issued by the New England Numismatic Association.

It features two of the last four-masted schooners built in New England, the Luther Little and Hesper. The medal marks the 100th anniversary of the building of the schooners and pays tribute to New England’s rich maritime history. More about the Luther Little and Hesper can be found on the club's website at http://nenacoin.org/.

The medals will be produced in two finishes, antique bronze and antique silver color. The set of two is available for $25, with pickup at the convention. Please add $3 for postage and handling if you want them mailed to you.

Address orders to NENA, P.O. Box 2061, Woburn, MA 01888. Email inqueries may be addressed to williamharkins@comcast.net. Medals from previous years are also available; email your requests to the above address.

The 73rd annual NENA Conference and Convention will be held on Nov. 4, 2017, in conjunction with the New Hampshire Coin and Currency Expo (Nov. 3-4 at the Radisson Hotel Downtown/Center of New Hampshire, Manchester). Events will include competetive and non-competitive exhibits, a “What is it?” table and a free Young Numismatists program starting at 10:30 a.m.
