Krause wins NLG awards

Krause Publications’ books, magazines, Web site and radio reports were honored by the Numismatic Literary Guild during the annual bash Aug. 6 at the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money in Los Angeles.

Krause Publications’ books, magazines, Web site and radio reports were honored by the Numismatic Literary Guild during the annual bash Aug. 6 at the American Numismatic Association World’s Fair of Money in Los Angeles.

The books The Early Paper Money of America, Fifth Edition by Eric Newman; Standard Catalog of World Paper Money, General Issues, 12th Edition, edited by George S. Cuhaj, and Profitable Coin Collecting by David L. Ganz all took top honors.

Coins magazine, edited by Robert Van Ryzin, was named top magazine for its January 2009 issue. World Coin News, edited by Maggie Stigsell, earned awards for its articles. Numismatic News, edited by David C. Harper, and Bank Note Reporter, edited by Van Ryzin, earned two awards apiece.

Numismaster.com was honored as a top Web site. Lisa Bellavin is numismatics online editor. Interviews by Harper on Coin Chat Radio’s “Collecting Money” grabbed the top radio report award.
