On Jan. 14, four members of the Krause Publications numismatics staff visited residents at the Angelus Retirement Community in Clintonville, Wis., spending the afternoon talking about coins and paper money.

Dave Harper, Tom Michael, George Cuhaj and Scott Tappa shared with a group of about 15 Angelus residents current and historic facts and insight, and answered their questions. Interesting discussions centered around selling an inherited collection, telemarketed numismatic products and the state quarter program.
Several residents brought coins from their own collections, including one woman’s gold $20 piece set in a bezel. KP staff left behind books and magazines to aid Angelus residents in identifying and valuing their coins and paper money.
