Kahn to oversee N.O. Mint operations
One of his biggest jobs will be reinstalling displays at the Old U.S. Mint, which suffered numerous damages during Hurricane Katrina.
The Louisiana State Museum has a new director.
In addition to his other duties, newly hired David M. Kahn will oversee operations at the Old U.S. Mint in New Orleans.
Kahn is currently executive director of the Connecticut Historical Society Museum in Hartford.
He will serve as the director of the Louisiana State Museum?s statewide network and as the assistant secretary of the Office of State Museum under the Department of Culture, Recreation and Tourism.
Kahn will assume his new post on or before May 15.
He will be in charge of creating a master plan for museum exhibitions and programs.
