Jacksonville coin show set

The Greater Jacksonville, Fla., Coin Club will host its annual show May 27-29. It will be held at the Morocco Shrine Auditorium located at 3800 St., Johns Bluff Road South in Jacksonville.

The Greater Jacksonville, Fla., Coin Club will host its annual show May 27-29. It will be held at the Morocco Shrine Auditorium located at 3800 St., Johns Bluff Road South in Jacksonville.

This year’s show is expected to feature more than 85 dealers and attract more than 1,500 attendees, according to organizers.

Dealers will offer free appraisals of individual coins and collections. Independent Coin Grading Service will be at the show to offer professional coin evaluation and encapsulation.

Among the educational exhibits will be several provided by the American Numismatic Association.

There will be a coin collecting seminar for kids at 10 a.m. May 28, and a Scout Merit Badge program is scheduled for 1-4 p.m. the same day. Both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are invited to participate. The club will also provide numismatic gifts to all children who attend the show.

General show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 27-28 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 29. Admission and parking are free. There will be professional security on the premises.
