Coins from the dealer inventory of the Jack Lee Estate and the Lucy Collection of 45 proof Liberty nickels highlight Heritage Auction Galleries’ U.S. Coin Auction Oct. 23-25 in Houston.

The Dallas Signature Auction features more than 4,500 lots.

“Jack Lee was an admired numismatist, a worthy competitor and a dear friend for more than three decades, “said Heritage president Greg Rohan. “His recent passing affected many at Heritage and served as a reminder of the importance of finding and sharing vocations and avocations that you love.

“We also know that time will not diminish the importance of the Jack Lee pedigree. His keen eye is evident in these coins and those that will be offered in future Heritage auctions.”
Of special note are the eye-appealing Morgan and Peace dollars, “Jack’s first collecting love,” Rohan said.

Among lots offered at the auction is an 1893-S AU-58 Morgan graded by Numismatic Guaranty Corp.

Saint-Gaudens offerings include an MS-66 1927-S $20 graded by NGC and an NGC MS-64 1920-S $20.

Also featured are a PCGS MS-65 1886/7-O VAM-3 top 100 variety; a PCGS MS-63 1895-O and a NGC Proof-68 Ultra Cameo 1890.
