Precious metals firm Goldline International, in cooperation with the Professional Coin Grading Service, announced Oct. 9 a pink ribbon coin program as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, an annual outreach effort of several different breast cancer organizations that focuses on disease awareness, education and research.
A special label bearing a likeness of a pink ribbon was sonically sealed by PCGS in the holders of select coins. Goldline International guarantees a donation to a breast cancer charity regardless of the number of coins sold.
“It is a privilege to raise awareness about breast cancer,” said Mark Albarian, Goldline president and CEO. “Breast cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer in the United States and one of the leading causes of cancer deaths for women. We hope our clients will join us in our fight against this deadly disease.”
“PCGS fully supports Goldline International’s efforts to raise the coin collecting community’s awareness of the fight against breast cancer,” said Don Willis, PCGS president. “If our combined effort helps save the life of even one potential cancer victim, it will be well worth it.”
“It’s a great honor to create a program to raise awareness about those who have been affected by breast cancer,” added Miles Standish, PCGS vice president and senior grader. “These PCGS coins will enable the entire numismatic community to help people learn more about efforts to cure breast cancer.”
