Gold Buffalo, silver Eagle out in May

While collectors are closely watching the May 9 opening of orders for the two-coin West Point anniversary set featuring reverse proof and enhanced uncirculated 2013-W silver American Eagles, they also need to prepare their budgets for two other coins made of precious metal that will go on sale in May.

On May 23, the 2013 proof gold Buffalo one-ounce coin will go on the market. The price was not set at press time, but with gold at $1,575 an ounce, it won’t be cheap.

On May 28 the 2013-W uncirculated silver American Eagle will be available. Its price will be $53.95.
