Goetz hubs in auction

Over 800 working hubs used to create the dies for German political commentary medals by designer Karl Goetz during the period 1910-1940 have been consigned to be sold by Ira & Larry Goldberg, of Goldberg Coins and Collectibles, Inc.

The hubs will be sold individually and in groups as part of the Goldbergs’ Jan. 25-28, 2015, Pre-Long Beach Auction.

The hubs are still usable, the Golbergs said.
