Jeff Garrett has announced that he will seek a second term as a member of the ANA board of governors.

“Much has been accomplished in the last couple of years by an outstanding ANA board,” said Garrett. “Now that the ANA has resolved most of its legal issues, the future board will be able to concentrate on more productive matters.”

Garrett says he looks forward to offering his decades of business experience and intimate knowledge of the rare coin market to assure that the ANA remains on strong footing.

He wants to see the ANA summer seminar continue to expand and offer a wider range of educational opportunities. He will be teaching a class this summer.

Garrett owns Mid-American Rare Coin Galleries, in Lexington, Ky. He also has ownership in Sarasota Rare Coin Gallery, in Sarasota, Fla. He is the current valuation editor for the Guide Book of United States Coinage.

He has been a member of the Professional Numismatists Guild since 1982 and has served more than 15 years on its board of governors as well as having held the positions of treasurer, vice president and president.

Garrett has been a member of the ANA since 1973.
