The South Hills Coin Club of Pennsylvania has issued a wooden nickel to mark its 51st Anniversary Coin Show Feb. 5-6.
The piece jointly commemorates the 75th anniversary of the famous 1936 St. Patrick’s Day flood in Pittsburgh. The city saw the worst flood in its history when flood levels peaked at 46 feet.
The woods are available to the public for 40 cents each, or two for 75 cents, plus a self-addressed, stamped envelope.
Send orders and payment to SHCC, Box 161, Bethel Park, PA 15102.
