Three auction firms have been awarded rights to conduct official auctions for American Numismatic Association conventions.
In 2018 and 2019, Heritage Auctions and Stack’s Bowers Galleries each will conduct sales at the summertime World’s Fair of Money.
In the years 2018-2021, Kagin’s Auctions will call the wintertime National Money Show sales.
“ANA members and show attendees will be able to consign to and purchase from three auction companies that have a successful history with the ANA,” said ANA Executive Director Kimberly Kiick.
“All three auction houses have been long-standing supporters of our educational mission, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to have them return as the Official Auctioneers for our shows,” Kiick said.
The 2018 summer show will be held Aug. 14-18 in Philadelphia. The 2019 event will be Aug. 6-10 in the Chicago suburb of Rosemont, Ill.
Dates for the National Money Shows are March 8-10, 2018, in Irving, Texas; March 28-30, 2019, in Pittsburgh; and Feb. 27-29, 2020, in Atlanta. For the year 2021, date and location have yet to be determined.
All three firms have called ANA auctions before. Heritage and Stack’s Bowers have been doing the summer shows for the past four years.
Kagin’s called the winter auction this year in Orlando.
