An encased Alaskan quarter has been created by Alaska Coin Exchange to celebrate the 50th anniversary of statehood.
Two metals were used for the ring. There are 1,750 aluminum ring versions and 250 using bronze rings.
The aluminum version is $1.50 each and the bronze version is $6 each. There is a $2.50 charge for postage regardless of order size. Mike Nourse says there is no order limit on aluminum pieces but there is a maximum of five per address for the bronze.
The obverse ring says “50 Years of Alaska Statehood” and the date.
Orders should be sent to Alaska Coin Exchange, P.O. Box 190655, Anchorage, AK 99519-0655.
