The design rolled on both a dime and a cent features a side view of an Irishman below a shamrock with the slogan “Kiss me I’m Irish.”
The nickel design features a leprechaun leaping in the air and clicking his heels with “Happy St. Patrick’s Day.” The quarter design has a leprechaun playing a squeeze box surrounded by shamrocks and “St. Patrick’s Day.” The half dollar design shows a leprechaun leaning on a pot of gold coins with shamrocks in the background and the saying “May the luck of the Irish be with you.”
