When Early American Coppers members gather for their convention April 6-10 in Charlotte, N.C., it will not be in the hotel that was originally booked.

Instead, it will be at the Westin Downtown Charlotte Hotel.

Because the dates did not change, the organization believes the level of inconvenience will be minimal.

A letter to attendees by EAC president Bill Eckberg explained that the original hotel, the Marriott, is unable to complete renovations in time for the gathering.

That being said, the Marriott worked with the Westin, convention chair John Kraljevich and EAC club officers to transfer the event.

Eckberg believes this has been made as seamless as possible.

Members should just cancel their Marriott rooms and rebook at the Westin.

“If you booked at a non-refundable rate, you will be reimbursed,” Eckberg said.

Dealers with tables will be assigned numbers that are equivalent, but because the room is somewhat different, they will not be identical.

Any dealers who have not yet booked a table can do so by going to the website.

Overall, things like this can happen, but the EAC leadership seems to be on top of things much to the benefit of all members.

I hope it is a good show. Charlotte is a great place to hold it.
