Neil Osina, board member for the Covina, Calif., Coin Club, designed and produced a medal last year for the club’s 50th anniversary.

The 39 mm antique brass finish medal was given to active club members. The remainder of the 100-piece mintage is meant for those who join the club with a three-year membership. It is not available for purchase by mail.

The obverse reads, “Celebrating Covina, Ca. Coin Club since 1957 / Fifty years of numismatic education.”

The reverse reads, “Join us in this effort to educate collectors / This hobby can bring good fortune and lots of fun.”

The Greek symbol in the center of the medal represents strength and solidarity of cause, Osina said.
