CONECA journal features cent, half errors

The September/October issue of ErrorScope, the bimonthly journal of the Combined Organizations of Numismatic Error Collectors of America, features new finds ranging from a new 1988 doubled die obverse cent to a double-struck 1972-D Kennedy half dollar. Ken Potter writes about the 1988 doubled die cent that features a strong doubled earlobe, while Rick Emery turns his attention to a double-struck 1972-D Kennedy half dollar found in a Mint-sewn bag of 1972-D halves.

Recently the Combined Organizations of Numismatic Error Collectors (CONECA) announced their annual award winners. All were announced at the 2012 American Numismatic Association’s (ANA) World’s Fair of Money in Philadelphia. Those literary award winners who were present were able to take home their plaques that included a one- ounce CONECA silver round.
