Collectors can purchase new Dalai Lama medal

Three-inch bronze versions of the congressional gold medal given to the Dalai Lama Oct. 17 in the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. may be ordered by collectors.

Price is $38 each plus $4.95 for shipping and handling.

A 1.5-inch version is $3.75 each plus the handling charge.

The obverse portrait is designed by U.S. Mint sculptor-engraver Don Everhart. The reverse showing a lotus flower was designed by Joseph Menna, a medallic sculptor at the Mint.
