‘Coin Vault’ to cease June 22

Shop At Home network, which included “Coin Vault,” plans shutdown.

The Shop At Home network, which includes "The Coin Vault," plans to cease operations June 22.

The E.W. Scripps Company made the announcement May 16, citing $84 million in losses over a four-year period and the absence of a suitable buyer. It originally purchased the operations for about $285 million.

Shop At Home will remain in business through June 30 to allow time for the delivery of retail products purchased by consumers during the final days of broadcast and online sales. Scripps also said it will honor all of its contractual commitments to vendors and suppliers.

David Hendrickson, president of SilverTowne, the sole supplier to "Coin Vault," which sells a variety of U.S. coins, including third-party graded coins, said Scripps is still actively seeking a buyer.
