The Red Rose Coin Club of Lancaster, Pa., announced June 6 that it is raising funds to endow an American Numismatic Association Exhibit Award in memory of John R. Eshbach.

Eshbach was a longtime member of both the ANA and RRCC. He was a prolific exhibitor and judge throughout the years, especially at the annual summer ANA conventions.

At the recent Denver National Money Show, the ANA Board of Governors approved the RRCC’s request to endow the exhibit award for Class 4 (Modern Coins and Medals) at the annual World’s Fair of Money.

Few things in this hobby are more important than knowing how to grade coins!

This year’s World’s Fair of Money will be held Aug. 7-11 in Philadelphia. The Red Rose Coin Club is the host club. It plans on presenting the ANA with the endowment check at the Philadelphia convention.

Individuals or organizations interested in donating to the RRCC endowment fund may send checks to the club at P.O. Box 7212, Lancaster, PA 17604-7212.

Checks, which are tax-deductible, should be made payable to the Red Rose Coin Club. RRCC is a 501(c) corporation.
