A longtime member of Illinois’ North Shore Coin Club shares 50th anniversary honors on a wooden nickel issued by the club to mark the occasion.

The obverse features the simple 50th anniversary design. The wreath is green ink, “50th” is red and “Anniversary” is black.

The reverse shows “1958-2008” and “In Honor of/Sig” on three lines. Splitting around the rim at top and bottom is the legend “North Shore” and “Coin Club. The dates are in red ink and the rest of the reverse lettering is black ink.

Price of the wooden nickel is 50 cents each or three for a dollar plus a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Send orders to the North Shore Coin Club, P.O. Box 984, Morton Grove, IL 60053.

Sig was identified only by first name by the club as a hobbyist who has been a member since the club was founded.
